The study showed that out of ten top selling bottled water brands, a collection of 38 pollutants were found including, industrial chemicals, bacteria, drug residue from drugs like Tylenol and fertilizer. This is very disturbing considering that Americans have more than doubled their bottle water consumption since 1997. As of 2007, $10.3 billion was spent on bottled water on that year alone. Don’t be expecting pristine water from natural springs when purchasing water from the store but rather whatever the city is supplying. On an average you are paying more then 1,500 times for “premium” bottled water than you would for tap, which you are drinking anyway.
Perhaps one of the most ironic aspects of this bizarre case is that public water utilities are required to inform customers about contaminants that may be present in tap water and how it is purified but companies selling bottled water outside of California are not held to such rules.
So how do you prevent putting these contaminants into your body? Call Faith at Living Healthier to find the best water purification system for your home!
